Hello,
Below are some recent questions that were brought to my attention. Sara Ortiz in Circulation Administration was kind enough to provide some answers:
Q 01. Do we verify the P.O. Box on an application or the physical address?
A: We must verify the physical address. We accept P.O. Box addresses as a courtesy to our customers, but we must verify residency. Thus, customers must provide some form of address verification (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement, etc.) and it must be written on the application on the Physical Address line.
Q 02. When we waive fines due to an item being found on the shelf, what selection do we use in the Paying Bills wizard in the drop-down menu?
A: You use ONSHELF when you are waiving fines for items found on the shelf. For waives that are provided as a courtesy or as part of a settlement agreement, you would use FORGIVEN.
Thank you, and please let me know if you guys have any further questions.
Sincerely,
MR
